Hello! I’m Andi and this is my first blog, as hard as that may be to believe at the ripe old age of 25. I’m starting this blog as a place to document the things that I make each day. I hope to use it to keep my momentum going as I attempt applying to grad school as well as making my own wardrobe from scratch. In fact, I just went fabric shopping yesterday and got everything I need to make some new outfits. I’m super excited, but I’m also a little appalled at how much money I spent. I solemnly vow not to buy anymore fabric this year! Especially since I already have an unmanageable stash to draw from.

Here are some pictures of my haul:guilty pleasuresFrom left to right: red and white stripe seersucker, ivory lace with embroidered eyelet border, blue floral cotton and mustard floral cotton.

L to R: the same seersucker again, lightweight denim, blue and white stripe charmeuse, brown cotton linen blend and mulberry silk.

The surprising part is I bought these at Jo-Ann’s. I haven’t bought fabric there in years. But I had coupons… And I actually found fabric I really loved. Obviously. I’ll break down what I plan to make with each of these and more in the coming days.

Also here are some photos of my worktable. We live in a very very small apartment, so I am lucky to have this much space to work in. Thanks Jeremy, thanks Roy! I don’t think Roy minds too much though, since he sleeps under the table.

Now it’s late and I’m going to go snuggle my bulldog and read some Dorothy Parker. See you tomorrow!
